Question about GE Refrigerators
I have a GE GSS22WGPDBB which is only 4 yrs old. It is no longer cooling on either side but all fans are working. We've removed back panel in freezer and the coils are completely frozen over. Technician can not come out until Wednesday due to the holiday weekend. Can you provide any insight to the problem and a possible do-it-yourself fix?
Defrost system has failed. for a temporary repair, melt ice off with a hairdryer but dont heat up any stats mounted on the pipework.
check continuity thro the defrost heater and thermal fuse in series with heater with a multimeter.
if both of these are ok, points to a module fault
