Samsung HCL5515Wx The first issue was the sound went out. but I could still hear the show through surrond sound. Then today the TV would come on then go out off 2-3 sec. What could be the problem and how much would it cost to get fixed?

It seems that you have one ore more dm chips out on the motherboard. you will have to take it to a service tech to have them replaced.

Audio: hearing everything twice

you have a delay time on your home theater JVC, that is normal. So it's either you reduce the delay time of your JVC or do not use the TV sound. Set the delay time of your DSP so you can heqar the sound you wish... like the delay time of your surrond.

Surround sound 5.1

Does your rca cables go to a surrond sound amplifier or directly to the tv. The tv only has two speakers. If the signal is sent to a seperate receiver it must have a lisyen mode then set to 5.1 surround. The digital optic cable should go to receiver first.

Samsung 40 no picture

If it is only 6 months old you probably still have a warranty. This is definitely a hardware issue, and unless you are comfortable taking your new TV apart, I would contact Samsung for repair.
