Hi guys, I have a Canon iPF W8400, however, when I last went to use it the machine wouldn't power up. I have it plugged in, and when I press the power button, you can hear a feint click sound coming from the vicinity of the power supply, the backlight on the display flickers for a second, then nothing. After that, pressing the power button does nothing. If I then unplug it for 20 minutes and try again, the same thing happens. I have searched high and low for someone with a similar problem but have found nothing, does anyone out there know what this problem could be caused by? Cheers.

I have the very same issue.. I purchased a new power supply for $331 and after I installed it, same thing! nothing changed so it's not the power supply..

SOURCE: Canon i9900 will not power up

There's a new power supply available at http://www.beckscrs.com/partlist.php for $61.20, part #QK1-0311-000 or at http://www.vancebaldwin.com/products/?CAN&start=1601 for $60.70. The original power supply shows part number Canon K30212 on it. If replacing the power supply/adapter doesn't resolve the problem of the Canon i9900 not powering on at all, the part number for the logic board is QM2-1273-000 from Beckscrs.com for $225.
