This depends on the audio system setup designed on your television.

Most speakers can have adapters bought for them which will allow you to connect your speakers to a television. But not every TV will support the 7 speaker configuration with PC Speakers.

The good news is the adapters are fairly cheap at Radio Shack and should not set you back more then 10 bucks. Maybe even cheaper.

How do l connect my t7900 to my laptop

Hi williams225

Creative 7.1 PC Speaker System/External USB 7.1 Sound Card/Sound Adapter

I assume your "t7900" is a Creative 7.1 PC Speaker System. If it is not, please add a Comment or Clarification Request to this question clarifying what your "t7900" is. Such clarifications greatly assist Solution Providers in their quest to provide relevant, accurate, helpful answers.

In order for you to be able use all the available outputs to the creative t7900 speakers, you need to plug in a USB 2.0 External Sound Card/Sound Adapter to bypass your laptop's single built-in Headphone and Microphone Jacks.

The adapter has 3 Outputs (for al 7 Front Centre, Subwoofer, Tweeters and Mid Range Speakers) as well as 1 Microphone Input.

See here for some examples of economy, mid-range and luxury External USB 7.1 Sound Cards/Adapters:

How do i connect my Creative T6160 speakers to my laptop.

Your speakers are 5.1, but your laptop has 2.0 audio output, which means that it is a simple stereo (left and right channel output). You will need to connect a USB sound card (such as the Creative X-Fi Surround 5.1) with 5.1 channel connectivity in order to connect your speakers.
Hope this helps.

How can I connect my 4.1 creative speakers to HP Pavillion laptop? Is there are adapter that cnverts two wires from speakers to on thet can be pluged into laptop?

Most external computer speakers have an input device that is like your standard headphone jack. Some have a cord built in for this, some don't.
You should be able to plug these speakers into your standard headphone output on your laptop.

I have creative 2 speakers with sub . when i connect them to my dell vostro a860 - there is no sound... i have windows vista... can you help me

External speakers has nothing to do with OPS, software or drivers.
there must be some fault in connecting the speakers to the system, try using some other ordinary speaker, if it works then there is some fault in your creative speakers.

Toshiba satellite A300

Try rebooting twice. If that doesn't work, then...

Is it a problem with the speakers themselves, or a problem with the sound card/driver?

If it's a sound card/driver problem, connecting external speakers won't help. Try downloading and installing new drivers from the following link... this driver is for Windows Vista.

If it's a problem with the speakers (in my opinion, unlikely), you can always plug in a set of headphones, or get an adapter for your CREATIVE SPEAKER at your local Radio Shack, or similar store (maybe even Wal-Mart).

How do you connect desktop computer speakers to flat panel tv

You just connect the green plug to a mini 1/8 line out or use a stereo RCA male to mini 1/8 female adapter (radio shack or cyberguys.com) and connect your desktop speaker to that.

You can also connect surround sound speakers if your flat panel TV supports it. There are two ways, one is with the digital out, usually a black socket, to a digital input, also usually black. This is pretty much the same as a coaxial connector. Other options are to use a fiber cable but the difference is negligible and the headaches severe. Many flat panels have the good old green socket, which is analogue and most surround systems will take an analogue input. The difference in surround sound is quite considerable using analogue.

The most affordable surround sound speaker systems are made by Creative Labs and include models less than $200 and usually include a remote. Which ever you choose, you want the remote so you can mute when the phone rings and also control the volume as well. I've used newegg.com as a vendor for these systems extensively as you usually have 30 days to return as unacceptable for your application. Avoid Ebay.

Let me know if this has only opened the door to more questions or if you have all you need to know.

Regards,
Worldvet
