This has been a commonly reported issue with the X001. Everyone I call on my phone reports and issue. I think there should be a better solution than "are you connecting correctly"

The problem is that the phone is picking up your voice and the bluetooth microphone is also picking up your voice. I would try to use the phone without the bluetooth microphone and see if that works. If that does not change anything the phone may have a problem. If this dosen't work tell em and I will begin advanced troubleshooting techniques.

Hope this helps,

RCF

It's simply that with the speakers loud and inside the car, the caller hears himself coming back into the mic, which is omnidirectional. The only real option is turn the speakers down.

The echoing could be caused from feed back between the radio and phone. Try a different placement of the phone when using it with the Alpine.

You might also check to see if there is a strength setting for the bluetooth on the phone or the radio.

If this is a common prolem, then the manufacturer should have a solution. Try their support.

What iPhone software version shall I have, when connecting to an Alpine head unit or A/V head unit?

In order for the iPhone to work properly with "Ready for iPod"/"Full
Speed connection" head units or A/V head units, you must have software
version 1.0.1 or later updated on your iPhone. You can update your
iPhone using the update function within your iTunes® application.

How do I turn on bluetooth on an alpine cda-9831

  • First you have to purchase a separately sold junction box and a portable telephone that is available from Nokia to control the incoming and outgoing call of the portable phone.
  • You must have a portable phone hooked up prior to the next step.
  • Press and hold the Band/Tel button for at least 2 seconds to turn on the telephone mode.

H1! I have an X001 and an iphone.....everytime I shut my car off I lose my bluetooth connection and I have to re-establish my connection every time I get back in the car... Any ideas?

Are you using a bluetooth box? The bluetooth box will lose power when car is shut off as it is directly connected to the ACC (ignition) lead. I am going to paste the diagram here, but if it doesn't work and shows the big red X, I will follow up with a separate comment.

Please verify if this is the manner in which your system is wired, and we will work from there... Thank you!

Cannot connect the blueant to my iphone 4

The car stereo is the device (like a headset) the phone initiates the signal..
Set the iphone to receive bluetooth, and then turn on the blueant.
I am not sure if there is a special pair code, but try 0000
Your iphone will let you know one the connection is made.

My son had an Alpine IDA-X001 and a Sirius Connect Vehicle Tuner installed in his 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix yesterday. The Sirius is not activated at this time. He is experiancing problems with his car...

I believed so that something is draining power in your circuit. I suggest that you must activate the SIrius now and check together with the Alpine if it help fix the problem. It is maybe it turns out to be that the Sirius resist the flow of power when it is not activated.
