Question about Computers & Internet

Videos wont play

I recently installed a belkin wireless router in my home. It appears to work just fine. However, recently I was watching a video and my laptop plays the video for several minutes and stops completely. I uninstalled my plug in player and reinstalled it. I switch browser from IE to Mozilla. I even went back to my Lan connection. However, I can only view about 2 to3 minutes worth of any video. Please help

Was the direct lan still through the Belkin router? Plug straight in to your cable, dsl, satellite modem and see how the video is. Next try pcpitstop.com and run a full test. Might just need to wipe temporary internet files or whatever that full test says. N/M their defrag if you have at least 1/2 of your harddrive empty..they always say that.

You don't actually need the software for this. All you need to do is login to the router via the web interface (usually 192.168.2.1 or 192.168.1.1 for Belkin). You can configure the channel etc options from there.

Belkin wireless G will not play Youtube videos completely

I had the same problem - I updated the firmware pre-release version from the belkin support site - located here - http://www.belkin.com/uk/support/article/?lid=enu&pid=F5D7230uk4&aid=9080&scid=0

Double check the version no to be sure to be sure - this is for V7.

Problem has gone away.

WIRELESS ROUTER

If you mean by the roadrunner that you are connect via a cable, the reason why the signal may fail and stop you from watching streamed video is that wireless is only 54mbps and not the best speed for streaming, but wired streams at 100mbps and is constant speed whereas wireless doesnt give a constant true speed of 54mbps it can reduce considerably.
