No picture some sound sometime but not always on wii

I'm having the same problem with my Wii output. The manual for the Denon AVR-1312 says that analog video signals (i.e. component/composite outputs from the Wii) are not converted to digital video signals (i.e. HDMI output from the rcvr). I'm running only HDMI to a projector, so the video signal is essentially lost. The fix appears to be to run an additional composite cable all the way to the projector. Sounds like your fix is the same. No Wii tonight! :(

make sure the scart socket is in propley and by the sound of it u will need a new controler ty chris

you should be able to connect the wii to a port at the back as well try doing that cause sometimes you don't get a full connection using the side ports if that doesn't work then make sure all cables are not loose that is the main cause of lose of sound or picture

Is the yellow or white... depends... in both socket tightly without any disruptions whatsoever? My friend had no sound... and sometimes no picture. Put something to place this up or down for the to be straight and completely inserted. I hope it helped!

Make sure no other game console is hooked up to the spliter then turn everything off... turn the TV on first, then the game system, if the system still doesn't produce sound then get a NEW dedicated cable Hope that helps

my wii is no picture and sound

sometimes just sometimes tvs are funny, some tv's call it a "input select" others call it a "mode" or simply "input" and some dont have any they just want you to goto channel 2 on the tv and go back one more channel.

ushally all these modes are listed on the remote.

is it the origional remote? or is it a universal remote.

try those things above look over the remote again see if anything resembles any of that and if not

list the make and model of your tv and if your using a universal remote we will be able to figure something out for you.

It sounds like the accelerometer in your Wii Remote is not working properly.

The "point-and-click" stuff like the Wii Menu use the WIi Remote's camera (which is behind the dark part on the front of the Wii Remote). The motion-sensing for swinging, tilting and other motion uses the accelerometer in the Wii Remote.

Wrap your Wii Remote in a towel and give it a whack against your knee (not so hard as to injure your knee) - sometimes the accelerometer part gets "stuck" and needs to be jarred out of position.

If that still doesn't work, then go to Nintendo.com, click Support, and go to the Wii Troubleshooting section for more options.

Also, you don't have to use the same remote as #1. The first remote that is activated will become #1.

You can also push the Home button on the Wii Remote, then point to the bottom (where the battery levels are shown), press A, then click on Reconnect. It will tell you to press the 1 and 2 buttons on each remote in the order you want them to appear. Press the 1 and 2 buttons on the remote you want to be #1, wait for the remote to sync (the Wii will make a happy nosie), then do the same for the remote you want to be #2, etc.

is it scratching the disc?
can you borrow a friends power supply so you can rule that out?

Hi, double check the rca jack cables that are red and white are connected to an input for the tv and not accidently hooked into the output connectors. Sometimes the tv manufacturer puts them right by each other. Hope that helps, Also depending on the tv there maybe more than one input set of connectors close together, so if you have the video in the line 1 connector but the audio in the line 2 connector you'll have picture but no sound. Try switch line inputs while the Wii is on and in a screen that is making noise and see if you have sound in any other line in(source) setting. Jay
