Go to your system devices on your control panel and enable the sound board. When you click properties, it will show you that it is disable. Just "enable" it there.
Hi, you can go tor your control panel first, and then look for the option that would enable your audio icon to be displayed in the system tray.
Hope this one helps. Thanx
It is necessary to download the audio drivers from the dell website. www.dell.com. Type in your model number and it will show you a list of drivers. Windows often install a generic audio driver, but what you need is the one from the Dell website
is the sound manager not muted? did you try checking the volume settings? has it been selected as the primary audio device in the sound applet in control panel? try checking.. then pm me again
if you are runninf windows XP VISTA or 7 you can right click on the sound icon in the system tray on the taskbar and select "Playback Devices" select the audio output you are using ( speakers, HDMI or optical ... the one theat has a hreen checkup icon ar the bottom right side of the symbol is the default one ) push the "Properties" button ... the properties window will appear. In the prop window go to the "Enhancements" tab ( normally the fourth one ) and uncheck the "Voice cancellation" checkbox.click Apply than OK, then again OK. If you don't have the Sound icon in the SysTray just go to control panel, hardware and sound, Sound and do the same. The other way around is from The ACER HD Audio Manager ( the audio driver interface that can be also be found in Control Pannel ->> Hardware and sound ->> Acer HD Audio Manager( "Control Pannel Home" view ) or simply Control Pannel->> Acer HD Audio Manager(classic view of control pannel). In the Acer HD Audio Manager go to the "Sound Effects" tab ( the second usually ) and there is a Karaoke option; if it has a red mark in the mouth are than click on the karaoke icon ... it is the equivalent of voice cancellation from the Enhancements tab from Sound ->> Properties. In Linux go to System ->> Administration ->> Sound configuration or something like that and you should find a close match for windows voice cancellation.
