Media Receiver will not work

I had a loud fan problem on my Media Receiver (PDP-R04U) for my Plasma TV. I opened the top of the receiver to see which fan (there are 2) was making the loud wering sound. It wouldn't go on so I put everything back together (didn't touch anything) and now it doesn't work at all. I took it to the Pioneer local repair place and he said that I tripped a switch and he couldn't reset it unless I took in the large heavy 43' screen. It worked fine until I opened the set, Is there any way I can reset this switch myself? Thanks, JOE hello, i have the same problem but MR model is a pro-r05pu and i can,t get the display to turn on- the red lights on the display & MR along with the green on MR stay on (no blinking). the display model is a pro-435pu. any help will be very appreciated. thanks,

SOURCE: Can I use media receiver PDP-R04U with PDP-436PU display?

You need the pioneer media cables hooked up to the media receiver to the plasma unit itself. each end has 2 different plugs. one has 2 thumb screws and the other is a squeezable end that clicks into place. They MUST be on before you plug in any power what so ever!!!! And yes, other information is being passed through.

SOURCE: My pioneer plasma tv is

My initial response is "An S-Video Cable"... but I suspect this isn't the information you are seeking.
You don't need to connect your receiver to the TV's video inputs UNLESS you want the receiver to switch between different video devices.
PS - more information on what "my receiver" is would help too, also tell us what you're trying to accomplish as the end result.
tell us about all the equipment you have, and how you would ultimately like to be able to control everything, and what inputs and outputs are on each device.

This model, according to what I have found from Pioneer, does not contain a TV Tuner. It is a multimedia Television/Monitor.

Pioneer PDP-R04U receiver blinking Help!?!

How many times this standby/power light blinks at one time switch ON?Count it carefully. These blinks are fault indication, and known as blinking codes. From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON; you can get an idea about the faulty circuit stage inside the TV.This will make repair easy. Hi, I have a Pioneer Plasma and PDP-R06G Media

The Media Receiver is the tuner/connector selector box.
If the top is removed the Media Box goes into shut down mode. It requires resetting by a Pioneer Authorised Service tool.
