I was told I can replace the front panel on my water/ice dispenser...I'm not ready to paint but if I take it off now will I be able to put it back on? do you have pics with the steps on how to take it off and put the black one on?

SOURCE: Whirlpool Side By Side not making Ice, but water dispenser works

I just resolved an issue with my kenmore elite side by side refrigerator icemaker (model 106).
It was expensive because I took the long road to fixing the unit myself.

My problem: No water going up to the freezer water dispenser into the icemaker but the water in front of the door working just fine.

-first thing i tried was the simplest. The Internet is clogged with this miracle fix of using a hair dryer to melt the frozen water line going to the dispenser output. This is highly unlikely for our model since the water line is protected within the refrigerator frame.

-2nd thing I replaced my water filter (thinking that there wasn't enough water pressure to trigger the solenoid valve. $40, and still no luck.

-3rd thing was I tested for voltage going to the solenoid. No voltage going to solenoid, so I wasted $30 for a new solenoid.....still no water.

-4th thing was I ordered a new IR sensor and receiver (since the reciever end is where the relay that sends the voltage to the solenoid to turn on and allow water to go up to the dispenser).
My IR sender and receiver appeared to be working flakey.
Installed, still no water. $58 BUCKS ON EBAY (EVERYWHERE ELSE $100+)

-I finally removed the freezer front little white door, I TURNED OFF THE FREEZER SWITCH SO NO VOLTAGE WAS PRESENT, removed the release latch underneath the freezer unit and disconnected, and removed the freezer unit to inspect it further.
When I removed the protective white cover that covers the mechanical wheel, I had a few parts come flying out of it. Turns out that the wheel accessories were damaged. THERE ARE NO REPAIRABLE PARTS ON THE FREEZER UNIT. I FOUND ONE ON EBAY FOR $39 BUCKS + $9 SHIPPING! $48 BUCKS, SWAPPED THE HARNESS AND BOTTOM COVER, AND IN 20 MINUTES, I WAS BACK IN BUSINESS. STARTED MAKING ICE IN ABOUT A HALF HOUR!!!!!

when in doubt, replace the freezer unit for $48 bucks! 7 out of 10 times it will fix your problems. All techs replace the IR set at the same time too which will set you back another $58 bucks.
Good luck! ;)

SOURCE: I need to replace the water line tubing in the

the front dispensor panel can be removed by lookin under the panel you see too little spaces in which ti insert a screw driver,by pushing down on the top, you cantwist the screwdriver in the opening eleasing the tabs, and simply lifting off the top tabs, dependingon model you may need to un plug a wire or 2.. the tubing should be able to be removed be releasing the connector undeer the door and simply refeeding the new hose back into unit

Paint? unless you have a spray booth, and are good at such things, I would avoid that...

I would go with a vinyl or similar adhesive sticker. There are companies that do whole fridge front stickers with artwork/nature pictures etc. Google "refrigerator stickers" and you might find one that will do, just plain black.

My nec 42" px-42vr5w plasma

Despite the fact that you have posted this as a question about a kitchen range, I can tell you waht the problem is anyway!

The plasma screen is controlled by hundreds of seperate connections at the top, bottom and sides of the screen which use electrical pulses to signal the pixels on the screen what colour they should be. If the connection to a bank of these connectors fails (in this case either at the top or the bottom of the screen) then they will usually die and that portion of the screen most commonly goes black. Next most common is that they go white as yours has.

This is absolutely NOT a DIY fix. You will need to get it to your local TV shop. If you're lucky, they will find and fix the poor connections. If you're unlucky, the plasma panel has had it and they won't be able to repair it. A replacement panel supplied and fitted is probably about the same price as a nice new, updated plasma TV, so if the issue goes that way, consider scrapping and buying a new one

My husband is trying to wire a new pressure switch for our well. It is located under our home. Can you explain how to rewire it. There are 2 black wires and 2 white wires. We need to know which is the...

The pressure switch is marked for LINE and LOAD.
Line wires come from your power supply to the switch.
Load wires come from the switch to the well pump.
Most likely the black AND WHITE wire from the power supply go to the 2 center terminals on the switch.
The black AND WHITE wire from the well go to the 2 outside terminals on the switch.

Oh my! The white and black are normally both HOT wires!!! Bare copper is ALWAYS a ground wire, and also can work as neutral. Neutral is the middle prong on the plug.
Turn off the breaker before even touching your appliance, there might be 110v on the metal parts!!!

Black and white should be on the sides, and bare copper - in the middle.
Before switching the wires make sure that black and white really are the hot wires: there should be 220-240v between them.
