It is the drain water from bottom drawer that is finding its way to the top drawer. This could be due to incorrect drain hose height. Check in installation manual. Alternatively you will have to buy an air gap kit and connect the two drain hoses separately to the kitchen sink.
Turn the water off and disconnect power to
the dishwasher, then empty water from the inside. Clean drain well and check the drain hose at the back. If that does not work, then the water pressure switch is at fault. Call your Fisher
& Paykel dealer or Authorized Service Center.
Hi Dishwasher not draining issue usually occurs due to kinked drain pipe, clogged drain filter or drain pump. Check the drain hose for any visible clogging, remove if present. If no visible lint is present then remove then turn off the dishwasher and remove the drain hose and check for any visible clogging. If still not visible then the drain filter or drain pump is clogged and you'll need to clean the drain filter and drain pump. Also, check for any food pieces stuck near the pump impeller. Please note that dishwashers don't drain out the complete water such that heating element doesn't overheat. Hope this helps... Please post back for any further assistance. Daniel

Please check the parts manual for your dishwasher, check the drain pump & drain filter's location from the link---
Go to diagnostic mode you can turn on the drain manually. The motor has 2 directions of operating: one for pump and the other for drain. When the LCD displays P1 it means wash, when it displays P2 it is for drain.
Josh, you will need to have a Tech out to look at it... F/P will not sell you parts to repair it. The F1 indicates that the flood switch has been tripped. There are many possible causes for this but probably the upper drawer link support has broken and is getting stuck between the lid and the drawer in which case you will need a new lid and link support.
Hi and welcome. Either your hubby forgot to knock the plug out of the dishwasher connection on the new disposal, or he does not have a dual-air gap installed and the hoses to the dishdrawers do not have a high loop to prevent back-siphoning into the drawer...
