Question about ASUS A7S266-VM/U2 Motherboard
I bought a new hard disk Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 (250 GB) ST3250310AS and it seems that mother board does not support seagate....
I am not sure whether this model of ASIS mother board supports this please guide me.... and help me resolve this issue....
thanks for all of your suggestions... after taking some help from some of my other friends i have bought 160 gb seagate hard disk(IDE).... hope this will not have any problem....
One more question if i upgrade my system to intel mother board from current asus then can i still use the same hard disk...(seagate baracuda 160 gb), i know that i have to change my ram as ddr1 is no longer used but what abt (IDE Hard disk) ... does intel contain IDE support ....

M/Boards support all makes of hard drive
Are you sure you connected it correctly
The wide ribbon cable that goes in the rear of hard drive should
1) Be connected to M/board in the No 1 connector with the stripe on cable to the No 1 pin
2) the stripe on cable should go next to the 4 pin power plug on hard drive
Also ensure your BIOS is set to Auto detect of driives
