Follow these steps to check it.
- Open Run or use windows key+R
- Type devmgmt.msc It will bring up device manager.
try to locate Imaging devices, when you see something under imaging devices then you need to download a particular driver, but when you can't see something under imaging devices it means something wrong with the hardware.
do you still have your support disc? IF yes, try to reinstall your drivers. If nor, go here, http://us.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/drivers select your product and download the drivers. If the problem still exist, maybe your hardware is broken

If still not working then you might need to recovery the OS

1. click start menu
2. click all programs
3. click to open acer file
4. look for Recovery
