Question about Sony Ericsson P1i
It doesn't work, except when it says emergency use only. This is the FORTH time I have sent the phone back and I am clearly disappointed. If you can offer help that would be wonderful, but I highly doubt I will EVER buy another Sony Ericsson phone again.
I'd contact your network provider if I were you. I had similar problem with my P1i and it turned out it was the network setup pf my provider.

Yes,it's a major problem with uiq phones they need to be ''restarted'' once a day, also try switching off 3g if you don't use it and if you don't have good 3g coverage.
