Is your Netbook under warranty or warranty had expired ?
If is on warranty (you must have the receipt fro where you bought it and usually warranty is for 2 years after purchace exept if is written otherwise from the shop in warranty paper), Packard Bell cannot refuse a free repair, its against the law.
If not under warranty then try to reformat it and put a fresh copy of operating system into it.
This "Freeze" usually happens from bad device drivers or Video and Sound bad codecs, but it is not easy to locate the bad driver and replace it cause its not one there are many.
If you have any program like CCCP (Combined Community Codec pack)
Or VLC Codec pack. or similar try unistall it and istall it again.
If nothing gets better after this , do this > uninstall codec packs (if any) uninstall VGA and Sound card drivers , reboot, reinstall them again.
If nothing happens again then Format it and put a new copoy of Operating system into it.

The problem here is the graphic card chip. From your story, when your watching something, afterwards it will get hang and become freeze. The graphic card chip can't last long the heat because its making more process in milliseconds. When you watch it process, when you use any high definition application like games, watch movies it gets making more process. And when the chip can't last long it will hang just like happen to your netbook. When you don't prevent it the graphic card chip will be burn and you can't use your net book forever. Or you can repair it to other and they will charge you more dollars.
The preventive way buy a netbook cooler. Use it everyday
