Ignore the instructions in the Haynes manual!! (This will tell you to remove the centre console!) Pull off (forwards) the plastic that's just clipped between the centre console & the radio console.

This reveals the 2 screws that hold the radio console on. Remove them and pull the radio console forwards to remove. I think you could remove the electrical connections - I didn't and put the radio console on one side. Remove the 4 screws holding the radio chassis to the car and pull this forward and off. Pull out the aerial lead and carefully remove the electrical connections to the back of the radio/cd unit. For convenience remove the 4 set screws holding the radio chassis brackets and set to one side. (If it's in the way, remove the 2 screws holding the black plastic under-storage tray.)

Replace with a new unit. Take the current unit apart as best you can and retrieve your cd, undamaged.

nissan comes with a clarion radio that had eject problems. you are probably better off removing it and replacing it with and aftermarket radio.

SOURCE: cd stuck in player of peugeot 307..how can it be

Try and tease it out with a credit card or old CD .Double sided tape stuck onto the leading edge often helps

If this does not work, then the player will have to be removed from the dashboard and the covers taken off to retrieve the stuck CD

Make sure you have the Security Code before extracting the player

SOURCE: a cd is stuck in the factory player of a 2005 Ford Explorer xlt

It is possible that the cd got stuck in the mechanism and could be due to the cd being out of shape . hence the rollers would not let the cd roll on. You can try to see if by using a very thin flat blade to push into to guide the cd out of the system. If this wont work then you will have to take the system out of the system to retrieve the cd from the mechanism. However even then if the transport is not working it might be due to failure of the motor drive or the process control. You will need help to probe intot o find out the cunctioning op the motor and the signals from the driver IC to the motor. Hope you try this out. Good day

My clarion CD player in my Nissan Primera P12 2004 will not eject the discs can this be rectified and would it be expensive.

Hi.

Check first that it is not a single disk stuck inside.

Try pressing repeatedly the eject button on the on dash player while at the same time you start the stereo.

If that does not work you can try disconnecting the car battery to reset the unit, and then attempt again the procedure above.

Remember that you may be asked stereo code after disconnecting battery, have it ready.

If still no luck, then the unit must be removed from the dash to be taken apart, so to remove the stuck disk.

In that case the repair may require replacement of CD drive unit or front panel. When disk does not exject repair done from a local technician may be expensive. Usually better replacing the whole stereo unit.

Regards.

PS: Here the procedure above illustrated in detail. The procedure is described for home DVD players, but it is the same on any optical unit, including in-dash stereo. Naturally , since the unit is an in-car system, you do not have power cord, but you will need to disconnect battery to reset the system: player system won't eject disk.

The eject button on my VW RCD300 has stopped working, with a cd stuck in the player. Is there a manual eject button, couldn't see one when I removed the stereo.

I have the same problem. Don't know how to solve it but got the cd out manually. Remove the radio. The cover on top at the rear just pulls off. Unscrew the CD player section. You will see a small motor on the left rear corner. Attach some wire to a 3v battery and touch to the terminals on the motoer. This will eject the disc without damaging it.

Cd stuck in jvc cd player

1...Try and tease it out by using an old CD through the slot

2..If that doesn`t work then the player will have to be removed from the dashboard, the metal cover taken off and the CD extracted.

Make sure you have the security code BEFORE you pull out the player from the dashboard.

If you do not have the code

POST ANOTHER QUESTION quoting the radio MAKE+MODEL plus ALL the LETTERS+NUMBERS on ANY LABELS ,BARCODES or STAMPED IN THE METAL CASING

Also quote the MAKE of CAR
