I used a paring knife to try pulling the usb out of the mouse while pushing the button. On the 3rd side it must have straightened it out or pushed it in to place and to my surprise it slid right out. It has been working perfectly ever since. I really do like that little mouse.

Thank you for your concern. Barbara

How to connect mouse to Toshiba laptop

First of all, I am assuming you are using a current laptop with USB connectors. For a corded mouse, insert the USB plug into a USB socket. After the computer recognizes the mouse, use the computer control panel software to set up the mouse. For a USB wireless mouse, insert the dongle into a USB socket. After the computer recognizes the dongle, use the computer control panel software to set up the mouse.

I have a Kensington Ci65m mouse. The right click button works but the "left" click button doesn't work. Sometimes it works but I have to press pretty firmly to get it to respond. I have an old...

Mice are pretty cheap just replace this mouse and get another one. You can spend time taking it apart and trying to fix it or make some other USB connector work with another mouse so on and so forth. Just go and purchase another mouse that would be really much easier. I hate to say it. I guess that is my humble opinion odds are that you will be doing that anyway. Thanks for using FixYa! John

My wireless mice's usb doesn't work?

Your wireless mouse must have come in two pieces, the USB connector the mouse itself.
Insert the USB connector of your wireless mouse to your laptop and press simultaneously the button in your USB connector and the button in the wireless mouse. This is done in order to pair the mouse to the USB connector.

There's also a connect button on the USB connector. Plug the connector in and press the connect button underneath until the light flashes. Release the button and click the connect button on the mouse until the USB light is steady.

My mouse and its USB connector don't 'see' each other. The mouse is on and the USB connector is plugged in but they are not working together. The instruction manual was written very poorly so I am not sure what to do. It has worked before but this is the second time it has 'deactivated' itself. The last time I randomly press buttons and managed to get it going. This has not worked for me this time

Labtec optical mouse

Is this a wireless mouse? If so, plug the USB connector into your computer. The pc should detect it and install the drivers automatically. Then there should be a button on the bottom of the mouse, press it, then press the button on the USB connector. This establishes a connection between the mouse and connector.
