IPS:
1.)NEVER PUSH THE LENS IN AFTER CAMERA DIES, BUY A NEW BATTERY IMMEDIATLY AND TURN IT BACK ON, CLOSING THE LENS!

2.)NEVER USE AN AC ADAPTER, USE A RECHARGEABLE BATTERY OR A REGULAR BATTERY!

..to fix this...

Do as i say..

1.) Remove battery
2.) Remove front plate (screw driver may be needed)
3.) Check all gears, make sure they are correctly fitted in place)
4.) Move the gear manually to make the lens come out.
5.) keep it out, put the front plate back together.
6.) reinsert the battery, turn it on.

or...
1.) Remove the battery.
2.) Wait about 6-8 hours.
3.) Reinsert the battery.

or...
1.) Remove the battery.
2.) Try hooking it up through AC adapter, put correct voltage.
3.) Try turning it on.
4.) Remove AC adapter, reinsert battery.
5.) Turn it on.
If nothing happens just tell me..

Hope this may help;

My Casio digital camera QV-R41 lcd viewfinder does not work

Turn the dail to a different position and try again.

Does your lense open up 100%. If not , clean the outside (around) the lense and turn on and off a few times.

If you feel the lense does not retract 100% or does not open up 100%, push it or pull the lense NOT too hard a few times.

Good luck!!!!!!!!

My camera says lense error

it naturally happens to all digital cameras , if they are dropped down to the floor.you shouldnt be able to take any pictures.if you try to switch the camera on the lens should be going in and out at least two times and then it would switch off .the only thing you can do is take it to the nearest service center and change the lens array.it would cost about 60$. the true fact is i had this same problem.,thanks for using fixya!.please dont forget to rate my solution.

Dropped camera!

Electronics goods are only for safe use. Not for droping, if it happens then go to purchase new one.
If it was in India, there was an option for repairing. Otherwise through it away.

Lens won't in on camera and makes clicking sound.

When you dropped your camera, some dirt got on the outside of the lense or some mechanical part of the lense broke or dislocated. If some of the mechnical part of the lense is damaged, you need to open up the lense from the camera and inspect the parts. Look for loose parts, then clean it and put it back.
I had the same problem with my sony Cyber-shop, but it was not dropped. somehow one or more small piece of dirt got on the outside of the lense. Here is what I did and the problem was fixed for good.
While turning the camera off, I pressed on the lense (up and down motion) softly. After a few times, the lense retracted 95% of the normal retracted position. I then, pressed the lense a little harder in untill it was fully retracted. It has been working okay since then.

You should always keep the outside of the lense clean and do not drop it.

Good luck
