Have you used Parental control to block channels? Maybe just go into the TV menu and unlock there. If not and the TV is using a cable or Satellite box then just use Video 1 or others even channel 3 to get the channels from the box. Today we have a lot of free digital TV from our old roof antennas you might look into that. My own Cablevision on Long Island ,NY has lost 5 and 9 due to a dispute with their source but who cares I have digital from my roof antenna put up in 1965. Please let us know if these ideas helped. If there is no audio as well then this suggest that the digital box is at fault. The fact that you can watch DVD's proves this fact. Unplug the digital box for 2 minutes and then re-try. Good luck.
