Wacom Tablet suddenly lags on Java Programs

I've been having some trouble with my Tablet Pen as of late. It's worked beautifully for me for a month or so, but suddenly it's got rather laggy on java programs I use; such as shipainter and paintBBS oekaki programs. I've tested it in GIMP though and it works without a flaw, so I'm wondering what's up. I've tried unplugging and re-plugging the tablet into other USB ports, shutting down and restarting the computer, and updating Java and re-installing the tablet driver. What's wrong, and what can I do about it? I first noticed it lagging during a pchat online; afterwards, it didn't get any better, and now it's still stuck this way! Help me, please.
