Question about Vacuums

Vacuumer belt and light bulbs

I must own one of the original Fantom Vacuum cleaners It has to be at least 20+ yrs old Don't have any numbers for the belt, which is 71/4" long.
What should I order?

Try using a panasonic ub-1 belt its an old one but its still made, even a dirt devil 4and5 belt will work but you want to stretch it for a while

Replace belt on fantom cyclone vacuum? the manual does not decribe replacing the roller belt - i can't get it open to expose the belt


On my 10-year-old model, the two screws securing the cover are under the two llight bulbs. Pry off the clear plastic covers, take out the bulbs and screws, and the cover lifts off.

Hello,
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. There are probably 2 ways to get @ the belt, usually there are screws, clips or levers on the bottom side of the bottom plate and once they are removed you should be able to get @ the belt, if not then the top cover should come off and then you should be able to get @ the belt. At this point you should be able to get @ the belt to change it. #2. you can always refer to your Fantom owner’s manual for additional information. Hello,
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. The belt change on the Fantom is to remove the bottom plate by undoing the screws, clips or levers, then cut off the old belt, remove the brushroll on the pulley side and place the new belt on the pulley side and replace the brushroll. Then use a belt puller or screwdriver with a hook on the end and then stretch the belt onto the motor pulley and then track the belt in a straight line. The replace the bottom plate and you should be fine. The recommended belt change on a vacuum with a flat belt is every 4 to 6 months for the best cleaning and always use the genuine belts for the Fantom. So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.

Hi, Don. I'm in need of a part for my Fantom Canister. It's a little difficult for me to describe but here goes...the part is the small metal "pins" that are found in the connection between the hose and the motorized floor attachment. There are normally 2 found in that area, they are about an inch long and I guess they pass the electricity between the hose and attachment. Any help is appreciated.

It sound so me that it could be a lower wand with the pins in the end or the part of the power nozzle and the part that the lower wand fits into is called the gooseneck and that can be replaced as well. If it is part of the hose then you may have to replace the hose and that could be expensive or over $100.00 or more, as an estimate. The best place to get the information is the owner’s manual under trouble shooting or to cal the Fantom factory of which I will provide for you @ the bottom; or your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area. I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. The Shark vacuum cleaner belt is a side driven belt and you need to remove the bottom plate and remove the belt and place the new belt on the pulley side of the brushroll and make sure the ends are the same, insert the brushroll and then use a belt puller or screwdriver with a bend on the end and then stretch the belt onto the motor pulley and the track it in a straight line, replace the bottom plate. How do i open my cleaner to put a belt on


Thank you for your fast reply, I took off the screws on the lid and replaced the belt with no problem
