Question about Samsung BlackJack II Smartphone
My Blackjack II will not start, the on/off button will not do anything, so now I cannot start my phone. Any suggestions?
This has happened to my Blackjack II and I've found if I plug it into the charger then plug the charger into the wall, the phone comes right on. It's a pain, however, if I'm not at home when it decides to do this since no amount of button pushing will turn it back on, it acts like the battery is dead (when I know it isn't!)
BTW, I've have to have my SIM card switched out twice and the battery replaced 4 times since I bought this phone brand new in February......

Wingman6, try removing the battery for about 10 seconds. After reinserting the battery your power button should work properly (see http://www.fixya.com/support/t1085855-blackjack_2_turn for details). If the device is charged, and still fails to power on via the power button you'll probably want to connect with Customer Service or visit a store to see if they're able to swap your device for a new one.
Warrenj3303, a vertical line across the screen is usually a pretty big sign of damage or defect. If the device hasn't been dropped or submerged, you'll probably want to speak with your carrier to see what your replacement options are.
