Turn your computer off, wait 30 seconds and turn it back on again. When the computer starts up, press the key to get into the bios setup and search for the Lan controller setting.

If it's on and its still not working, replace it with a new network card and disable the lan controller.

I have a Compaq Presario SR1475CL that I installed Win 7 Pro on and there were no drivers for the onboard integrated LAN. I have no connection to the internet to use Windows Update to download any drivers....

Oftentimes the driver for the integrated LAN is rolled up into the motherboard driver. Try downloading that driver, putting on some sort of portable media (USB flash drive would be idea), and execute it on the Presario.

I would search the motherboard name (K8S-LA, if I'm not mistaken).

    Hello,
Please enter into the BIOS settings and verify if under Integrated Peripherals the setting for Onboard H/W LAN is Enable. As additional step select SMART LAN and see if it will detect you cable lenght and Etehrnet speed. If Smart Lan do not detect anything or you have a bad onboard LAN or the cable, hub, router has a problem.
If SMART LAN will successfully report back some information it means that the issue must be with Windows 7. If it's the case i suggest to completely remove the network card, reboot and re-install the drivers.

Please let me know if you need additional help.

Hello while installing Lan Drives we are getting following errors. 'Please shut down and plug realtek PCIE card to complete the Installation" We could not able to resolve this .Can any one help me...

I fits an integrated LAN card which is pat of the mainboard of the system it means that the LAN ship is faulty. The fix would be replacing the integrated Chip. You can get a separate LAN card and its only chip than replacing the mainboard.

Having lan card problems what does it affect how much does it cost to replace and fix

C521 LAN card is integrated in MB.
You can Flash the BIOS to most current and load the latest driver (Support.dell.com) see if the card works, next I'd reset BIOS defaults, and try again. If NIC will still not work, it may be damaged. Turn it off in BIOS and replace with a PCI NIC

Can't WinXP find appropriate driver for your lan card? If Asus did not provide a driver for its built-in lan, i think windows XP already has the driver built in its cache. try to install it using the wiz.

You can try checking the BIOS first see if its disabled in the BIOS to boot to the BIOS turn on your computer Press bios2.jpg during POST to enter the system setup program.

once in the BIOS you might have a multi page view, or a one page view, look for the INTEGRATED NIC see if its enabled or disabled. just enable it and restart the system then:

    download
    LAN CARD DRIVER

    http://ftp.us.dell.com/network/R54631.EXE

see if it works. hit me back with the result.
