SOURCE: Remove Date Stamp

You can easily remove it with photo editing software such as Photoshop Elements. If the date is in a corner, you can also crop the picture so the date is left out.

I asked before how to remove the date/time stamp from photos already taken. The answers I received which is to go into settings and turn off the date/time stamp, only works for photos that will be taken...

Yes. You do it the same way you would get rid of any other unwanted element in the photos.

Once the camera stamps the date onto the photo itself, the date is as much a part of the photo as the faces or anything else in the photo.

Date stamp

Once you've taken the picture, the date stamp is just more pixels, exactly as if you've taken a picture of a sign with the date on it. Just as a sign hides what's behind it, the date stamp covers whatever was there.

You can use a photo editing program to remove it the same way as removing any unwanted object in the picture. You can crop the picture, or use a cloning tool to try to extend the background to cover the date.

Enable date stamp

The camera won't deface your photos by scrawling a string of numbers across them, but the date and time (and a lot more) are stored with every photo in what's called the EXIF data. Almost any photo viewing/editing program should be able to show you this metadata.
If you want to print the date with the photo, please consult the documentation for whatever program you're using to print. Depending on the program and printer, you can print the information on the image, in the margins, or on the back.

I have a Canon SX30. I happened to turn on the Date/Time and now apparently ALL the photos have this imbedded in them. The date and time appear in the photo when I view them on my computer. I had...

The date time stamp is permanent. Once its set and you take a picture it will stay on it even if you turn the time stamp off in the camera (this will prevent it from occurring to future pictures).

To remove it from the pictures you already have you can either crop the image so that the stamp no longer appears in the frame you want, or use a clone or blur tool in an image editing program to erase the stamp.

To turn it off in your model, press menu, use the side to side arrows to select the camera tab, then use the up or down arrows to select date stamp.

Use the left or right arrows to chose off instead of date or date and time.

Please leave feedback if this was helpful. Thanks.

Remove date/stamp from pictures already taken

Once the stamp is on the picture it's just like any other element of the picture. You can try to remove it using a photo editing program, the same way you might remove a telephone pole growing out of someone's head, for example. There is no magic feature that will automatically recognize the pixels making up the stamp and recover what was there originally when the picture was taken.

Printing pictures from Casio Exilim

To remove the date/time stamp from your photos, you will have to either crop (cut) it out or use a Photo editing program to remove the date. Good photo editing programs are Photoshop and Paint Shop Pro amoung others.

Removing time and date

Unfortunately, the camera embeds the time and date into the image itself so once it is there the only way to remove it is with photo editing software. This would take some skill with the software to take out the time/date and make the photo look natural.

If you want to give this a go try the free software at getpaint.net. I suggest looking at the "clone stamp" feature and reading the manual on the help menu from inside the software so you know how to use it.
