How do I download pictures from my LG 8700 telephone to my computer, when it comes with no disk and no email service? When you plug in the usb cable you are prompted to install software automatically, but if you chose this option you are told software can't be found. If you chose tyhe other option of Install from a list or specific location you are directed to 2 options. Search for best driver in these locations--use check boxed below to limit or expand default search which will include localpaths & recoverable media. The best driver found will be installed. The second is search removable media "C". You are advised that it can't find necessary hardware or does not contain any device information. You are also given another box to try which is don't search I will chose the driver from a list and I am not sure wha to do then.

Your LG phone is USB Mass Storage Compliant

Just use a regular USB cable & connect it to your computer.
It will show-up as a Removable Device.

You can just connect it to your computer via USB cable , then your computer will automatically detect it as a removable drive that way you can already transfer files from phone to computer and vice versa...

Hope that helps........

Since its hard to find a software for this phone, you can just connect the memory card of this phone to a card reader then connect it to the computer, that way you can transfer files from computer to your memory card of the phone vice versa..

Skypee keeps dropping out

Normal 0 Also send this to your family and friends so they have their computer setup properly.
Web Camera’s have to be setup on the program they are to be used with. Just installing the camera on your computer does not set it up to broadcast on messengers or Skype.
Each program has Options that have to be setup in order for the Audio and Video to function properly.

Skype Setup:
After downloading and installing Skype (http://www.skype.com/intl/en-gb/download/skype/windows/beta/downloading/) set it up as follows:
  1. Go to Tools, then Options, and click on Audio Settings and set the Microphone and Speakers to the computer Audio Card.
  2. Then click on the Video Settings.
  3. The camera if Installed Properly will come up and show a video picture.
  4. Then, on the bottom of the page click on Save.
The camera and audio should function properly. Your friends and Family will now be able to see and her to you.
Hope this helps. Bud

How to use USB lead so that I can download pictures from my phone to the computer?

Depends a bit on your phone, and on the Operating System you're using on your computer.

Most phones come with a CD full of device drivers - and if you install that on the computer before you plug the phone in, everything should be straightforward.

Having said that, if you're using Windows XP, or anything more recent, you may get away with just plugging the phone in and seeing what happens. Look on the screen of the phone, and if anything comes up asking you if you want to connect to PC, OK it. Either way, give the whole thing a minute or two to sort its life out, then on the computer, open "Windows Explorer". Have a look under "My Computer" and see if a new disk drive has appeared. Assuming it has, have a flip through the folders in that. Look for a folder called "DCIM". The pictures are usually a couple of layers further down beneath that, and can be dragged and dropped to any other folder on the pc from there.
