I've had my M515 a few years and have loved having it around. I just got a new laptop (my desktop and the new laptop use Windows XP Home). If I do a hard reset, the sync works perfectly (I had to do that for the first sync on the new laptop).
Now on subsequent syncs, I get a pop up box from the Outlook program that states "A program is tring to access e-mail addresses you have stored in Outlook. Do you want to allow this? If this ins unexpected, it may be a virus and you should choose "No". I can then allow access (Yes) or deny access (No). I can allow access for up to 10 minutes. If I choose NO, information seems to sync, but I get errors. If I choose YES, the sync seems to get stuck in a loop and doesn't complete the sync.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Syncing with Outlook 2003 problems
Download the Outlook Security Add-in from this site:
Advanced Security for Outlook is free for commercial and non-commercial use.
I have testet it with Windows XP and Outlook 2002 SP3 syncing with a Palm Zire 31 and it works fine.

And just in case you may have any issues with the syncing of data from Outlook 2003, Apple has provided a support link should you run into any issue during your sync process with your iPhone to either computers due to a possible error with the .PST file.
HI, Yes you will need to install the Palm Desktop software on your computer or your laptop. Here is a link to the Palm Support site where you can download the software that you need. If you need any other help please let me know. Best wishes.
Sure you can. You just have to pick a unique ID for his during the first sync. If he already has an ID, then there is no problem. If you want to change any ID easily, get changename. It's an easy ID changer. For more info, great tips and discussion of and accessories for the Treo, goto mytreo.net
To get rid of the unknown error, you will need to uninstall the Blackberry Desktop software. When you do this, make sure that you have the uninstaller delete the user settings, too. Then reinstall Desktop Manager 4.3. See if that helps with the syncing, too. This solution solved the error problem for me, so I hope it will work for you.
If this does not solve the syncing problem, then post back here again and we'll look for another solution. Sometimes a .pst file repair will help.
Reset Sync History - Open iTunes - On the Edit menu, click Preferences. - Click the Syncing tab. - Click the Reset Sync History button.
disable third-party add-ins - Open Outlook 2003 - From the Tools menu, choose Options. - Click the Other tab. - Click the Advanced Options button. - Click the COM Add-Ins button. - Determine whether any third-party (non-Apple) add-ins are present in this list. The add-in "iTunes Outlook add-in" is made by Apple and can be left alone. - Deselect the checkbox for each third-party add-in in this list. - Click OK.
Reinstall the iTunes software
Attempt to sync content in a new Windows user - From the Start menu, choose Control Panel. - Open User Accounts. - Select Create a new account and follow the instructions to complete the account setup process.
Note: Make sure you only use standard ASCII characters for the new user name.
- Once the new account is created, choose Log Off from the Start menu. - Log into the newly created user account.
Once you are logged into the new user account, create a few test contacts and/or calendar events in your compatible application of choice and attempt to sync that data to your iPhone.
I was having a similar problem with my M515. I had originally installed the Palm Desktop from my CD, which was an older version. When I totally uninstalled the old version and installed the newer version from the Palm website I was able to do a successful sync. I'm using Windows Vista Ultimate and Palm Desktop version 4.1.4
your t5 is UNSTABLE possibly due syncing to an old username from an old PDA.
To correct this:
-delete manually the doubles (PDS has a tool but none for outlook)
-perform hard reset on your t5
-hotsync - creating a new user name (do not use the old one)
-you will be asked to use the same profile name for the outlook
Then you should be good to go.
