Polaroid 37 in LCD TV

The power supply board was having problems before.That the board,where the power a/c cord plug into it Now might also the Tuner board are dead too.The tv Tuner board,that the board where the tv broscast signal cable plug into it.That the Tuner board.Tries Websites like shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a refurbish power supply board for the replacement to see if solved the problem,not probally will have to buy the refurbish Tuner board for the replacement too.

The repair bill will be $200~250 range if you can find the shop that willing to try to fix it and find the parts for you.

I am having the same problem with my set. Found the same solution and am interested in finding out what the cure is if any?

it could be 2 caps on the power board, i had the same problem and for $3.39 at Radio Shack solved it.
There is a link on hre with pictures and instructions from stiv0, that works. Of course your on your own if you try it.

Go to youtube.com. search, Polaroid 37 lcd hd repair. Two or three vids on how to fix. Radio shack has 45 watt capacitators for about 4.70 for two. Easy fix or get someone to help.

i fixed one by put 2 new caps in c112 and c113 1000uf 10v

There is not a good solution. If you read about the Polaroid 37" LCD HDTV, you have a problem and it's the same one that many of us have. According to Polaroid's service center, the control box needs to be replaced. Polaroid does not stand by this product. The company gives you a lot of lip service about how many they sell and how few problems they have - they're lying. The TV's should be recalled and I'd suggest you join many of us to demand it. Write BBB, write the company where you bought the TV, write any consumer group you can think of - Polaroid TV's are junk. Sorry you've got one. Sounded like a good deal and Polaroid used to manufacture quality - no more.

Polaroid has a 1 year manufacturers in-home warranty on 32+ inch TV's. Contact them and they should send someone to fix the TV for you.

Since it is still under warranty make it Polaroids "problem"
