Wireless connection
Hi Kazmerr
Re: Dell Latitude d600
Assuming you already turned your wireless, your distance should be in range fom your router. Turn off and on the switch or you can press Fn+F2 to start your wireless connection.If thats a no go check your wireless client and make sure no other wireless client is installed ie. your ISP wireless connection manager.
Other work around for this is : make sure you have enabled or started your wireless client for windows by ff the steps below :
Win XP Sp2: start > control panel classic view> administrative tools > services > then look for Wireless Zero Configuration and right click it and choose start or restart . After doing this you may check or view your available wireless network again.IF no go >
For winXP or VIsta ONLY
Go to start > control panel { classic view } > system > device manager > Look for network adapter {+} sign > look for 802.11g wireless / or anything that says 'wireless' and make sure that theres no yellow question or excamation mark on it and IF none right click it and choose remove/uninstall> then restart PC > and try to view avaialable wireless again by ff the steps above.
{ tthis will refresh your wireless network hardware and software}
Note: for yellow exclamation marks or questions marks on your wireless adapter you MUST reinstall your DEll Wireless adapter. using you DELL System Recovery Disk.
In most instance it has somthing to do with your wireless switch on your laptop. With all possible steps porvided above doesnt woprk pls notify me. Thanks and good luck.
