Question about Shower Hardware

Triton Millenium Power Shower

When we activate the power shower the water runs for five seconds, and then cuts off. The High power flow button flashes repeatedly until the unit is turned off. The shower can be restarted and this process is repeated, but the water does not continue to flow for more than five seconds.

Hi, my triton power shower does not work properly, when i turn the big knob on the front (for the power) i can hear the pump not working very well. Then after about 5 mins it just trickles...is it the pump that has packed in? Do I need a new shower or can I fix/replace the pump?

    thanx

Generally if the flow sensor notices no water through the pump it will auto matically shut the pump down. so it could be the flow sensor is bad or the pump is not working like it should. now it depends on how old the pump is. i would start with the flow sensor.

Is it a mains fed shower

The installation must be in accordance with
Water Regulations/Bylaws.
To ensure activation of the heating elements, the
shower must be connected to a mains water
supply with a minimum running pressure of
100kPa (1.0 bar) at a minimum flow rate of eight
litres per minute (nine litres per minute for the
9.5kW rated model).
For all units the maximum static pressure must
be no greater than 1000kPa (10 bar)
.
If in any doubt, the pressure should be checked.

The water flow from my triton electric shower does not stop even after unit is switched off

28487001 is not an electronic shower head made by Hansgrohe. It is an overhead shower head that has no electronic parts. Triton is a completely different company. If you have an electronic shower system by Triton you will need to contact Triton. If you have a Hansgrohe product feel free to contact Hansgrohe at 1-800-334-0455.

My triton shower won't turn off and has no hot water

Your supply pressure is too high for the unit, it is too much for the solenoid to shut off, you need to put a pressure limiting valve inline.

check inlet water first for consistency, if flow is fine and pump is working correctly, then check non-return valve on your pump outlet.

if these check correctly, check electrical side, if flow to heating element is constant, if that is interrupted, i am afraid that motherboard on your unit may be faulty,

you have then only two choices, dismantle the unit and check all wiring and component or get unit to repair centre or call plumber... or eventually replace unit by yourself.

please be aware that mendling in electrical circuit is dangerous! fully disconnect from power before you remove the covers!!

please be aware that before you attempt to repair electrical or plumbing gear you need to cut off power or water supply to the unit in full, they do not mix very well... :-)
