I'm trying to play Hardball 6 game on my computer but I'm unable to because the loading screen stays on my the screen forever. I have to quit the game every time and I'm unable to play.

Well, in case someone is still finding the answer. This game needs the EmulateDirectDrawSync ACT fix.
Install the attached *.sdb file (with sdbinst) then try again.
Tested with Win10.
Steps:
1. Install the game from the setup.exe file as an admin
2. Download de .sdb file named Hardball6.sdb

Is your CD dirty or does it have any cracks? It might just be the problem. Otherwise, it could be corrupt game data. Clean the disc, if it still doesn't work I'd try deleting the game utility data and re-downloading it. Hope this helps in some way or another.

Hi. Since you're in UMD Autoload mode, you need to configure that in the PSP Settings. To do this, turn off your PSP and remove your UMD. Now, turn it back on and it won't autoload your UMD since it wasn't there anymore.
Now, go to "Settings" and scroll down to "System Settings" and press X. Scroll down again the selection until you see "UMD Auto-Start" and press X. At the right side will appear the options "ON" and "OFF". Select "OFF" and press O button several times to go back to main screen.
Insert your UMD. Now, try playing games from Memory Stick. You may have to turn off your PSP and turn it on again to finally play homebrew...

If you see an error #8001020F you have run up against the current global issue with the Playstation Network. Most PS3 games will check the trophy status online before they load whether you are actually playing online or not. Sony is aware of the issue and is working on it. They have not released an ETA at this time. The only thing you can do is to keep on trying the games.

sounds like the modem is going on you try reseting the system back to when you bought it that should bring back your current settings

it could be your disc, try cleaning it with a cloth and reinsert it

Keep the the ethernet cable connected and install the update. It is required to play online.
