How old is it? Lots of newer small engines don't have a drain plug. You tilt it on its side and let the oil run out the oil filler hole after removing the dip stick. I put a piece of plastic shopping bag over the gas tank hole and put gas cap back on to help keep gas from coming out. Good luck.

you should see some gas in filter no usually full though

Also check the air filter. Some times if the paper filter is wet or clogged it will choke out the machine by not allowing air in to the ignition chamber.

on my snow blower there was two positions to put the drive wheels back on, locked and unlocked. need to put the pin in the locked position thru the wheels and axles.

Sounds like water in your carberator. Remove the bowl and check for dirt and water, drain some gas from the tank into a bowl and check for water in the gas. Remove air filter housing and lubrcate all of the carberator linking with a product such as WD-40. Reassemble everything and start again. While you are at it check the spark plug too.

check switches in seat and brake also check ground wires, check the switch wires where they plug into switch may have to clean terminals

Hello. Thanks for using fixya. First thing i would do is make sure it has gas in the fuel tank. If that's ok. I would replace the spark plugs next. Could be that they are fouled out causing the no start problem.

remove the starter...use jumper cables to "run the starter manually...red to big lug, black to body (anywhere is fine) should torque hard at initial run and continue to run smooth...if it buzzes or vibrates, it's bad...replace...

I have a cub cadet 1864 and the governor is out of control, the engine will race a high speeds. When i pull back the governor arm and hold it it run normal. Can some one help
