Those multifunction devices require several drivers. I assume you loaded the drivers onto the computer. It sounds like you are using a memory card that already has MP3 files on it. That may be a problem if the camera or software is expecting to see the files in a certain folder on the card. Try uploading MP3 files to the camera and then see if you can move it back to the computer. Since you just got it, check and see how much time you have to return it to the store. If you have a bit of time, check out the help section of Aiptek's website. http://www.aiptek.com

The DV4500 comes with a cd that has all necessary drivers, and I think you can simply install the one you are missing. Also, be sure to FORMAT the camera's memory card first, it can't recognize the mp3s until you do. that particular driver you requested is downloadable from Microsoft, and the troubleshooting in the back of the manual tells you how to do it. That should let you transfer mp3s. Good luck.

Why does my PNY memory card have a communication error when I try to put pictures onto my computer?

Flash-memory cards have a finite "life-time".
After that time, you can read from from memory,
but you cannot write new files, nor update existing files.
Copy all the files from it onto your computer, and then discard it, and purchase a new memory-card.

Eclipse player

Attach to a computer and copy the data from the player to a new file on the desktop (call it Eclipse). Then put a Memory card into a Memory Card device and transfer the data back to the Card. You may have a Memory card reader in your computer or get a USB Reader, they are a few dollars.

Aiptek IS-DV Memory Full message when memory card is empty

Exactly the same thing happend to me with my brand-new Aiptek. Turns out it was the no-name brand SD card that I got from China which destroyed it. Aiptek was kind enough to replace it for free since it was under warranty. Aiptek's caution: Stick to brands like SanDisk, Dane-Elec, Kingston, Transcend or PNY. Purchase from resellers like Target, Best Buy, Newegg.com or Amazon.com. Avoid MINI & MACRO style cards. NO Sandisk Ultra II or Extreme III, class 6. AVOID Hi-SPEED!

Help

The camera should show up in Windows as a removable drive (like any USB thumb drive). From there all you should need to do is copy your mp3 files to the mp3 folder on the SD card in the camera (you will need to use a memory card as the internal memory is fairly small).

Make sure the file names are not very long or there may be problems getting them to show up in the camera's mp3 player.

Trouble with memory card

I suspect that you did not format the card with the camera before you started using it. The card MUST be formated by the camera before anything is put on the card. you can solve this by inserting the card into a card reader and using the computer to delete all files and folders on the card. Then put the card into the camera and format the card with the camera. do not use the computer to format the card. i hope this will help.
