Re: Cycle finished but door won't unlock, please help
Normally, front loading machines have this bypass cables in case this things happens, if there is a small opening at the front to acces the drain filter, open it up then look for a small plastic pc with a ring at the end. this is the pull release cable of the door lock. pull it downwards and the door will be released.
if you do not have the small opening to access the drain filter, you can tilt the machine to its back, ( be carefull, its very heavy) then reach for the plastic ring underneath to pull to release the door lock.

Troubleshoot your Admiral Top Load Washer that has these following symptoms: Not Completing all Cycles ...
1 close washer door and dispenser drawer
2 select Clean washer cycle
3 Press start/ pause
The basket will rotate, then the door will unlock, lock again, then the cycle will continue
Water should come in and run a short sensing cycle about 3 minutes
4 This will determine item in the washer
a if no items are detected it will move to step 5
b if item are detected wash any control lock light will stay on door will unlock open and remove any garments
If b pessnpower to cancel f code then repeat 1,2,3
Once cycle begins allow it to finish
5 after cycle is complete leave the door a jar to allow for venting and drying of interior
Only use HE high efficiency detergent
If the machine didnt finish the cycle due to the pump being clogged the door will remained locked also if the lock mechanism went bad, the machine will stay locked. Remove the top of the machine by taking the screws from the top back out. Once removed look down the right hand side and you'll see the lock mechanism, usually with a plastic tab you pull to manually release the lock.
I don't know if I have the same model SAMSUNG front loader, but I have a similar problem. The door has decided to stay locked at the end of the cycle. I can turn it off and on and even send it through another cycle, but at the end of the washing, it drains, goes to END but does not go the extra step of unlocking, like it usually would about 1min after ending the cycle.
My clothese have been through about 6 different cycles, hoping it will magically clikc open at the end. I assume they are very clean, but getting dizzy.
This would suggest that
the lock is getting a signal from the control board telling it to stay
locked, which would explain why the "spin light" is on as the control
board does believes the cycle has not finished its in your signal board sorry
Hi, Make sure you are allowing the washer to completely finish its cycle before opening the door. It is normal for the door to lock at the end of a cycle. The locking mechanism keeps owners from opening the door before all of the water has been drained. If the door on the washer is locked, select the "Drain" or "Spin" options on the front-load washer. This will completely drain the water from the system and unlock the door, allowing you to open it. Thank you !!
michele99, So when you put it on drain, do you here the machine trying to drain the water? After it finishes draining, (you have to wait a few minutes, it should then have a blinking light
on the Finished/Door locked light.
Are you waiting for it to finish?
