My unit is only 2 months old and its making a squeeling grinding bearing kind of noise in front of the the unit and its on the bottom where youu can feel the grinding on the outer casing. What could it be?

I had the same issue with my Soleus PAC unit making a squealing, grinding noise.

I took the unit apart to locate the issue and found out that the water pump on the lower right side was the issue.

I removed the water pump and used warm water and a little bit of dish washing soap along with a qtip to clean the water way.

Squealing stopped.

Not sure if this is the same issue with your unit - but it can be a starting point.

Just be sure to unplug the unit while working on it. Also be careful not to puncture the coolant lines.

Good luck.

The hot water tap in the kitchen broke. We turned the hot water off coming out of the tank. The stop **** has been reopened. The tap has been repaired but we cant get any water through

There may be some debris in the tap, left over from the old one. Turn the water OFF again, remove the new tap and look for any debris that may be clogging the outlet. Also. make sure the new tap is seated properly and is identical to the old one you had to remove.

Hope this helped to solve your problem, Eddie. Please be kind enough to rate my response. Thanks!

I have no hot water, in fact no water at all is coming through the hot taps in bathroom or kitchen. I have cold water and the central heating is working fine. What do you think the problem might be?

is there a separate water heater for those rooms? sounds like there could be a valve turned off. or the pipes are the old style galvanized and have plugged up. does any of this help lead you in the right direction?

My Rinnai 24 will only start when I use the the hot water in the kitchen (which is closer to the heater). If I open any of the hot water taps in the bathroom it doesn't work.. I have to start the hot water...

Looks like your recirculation pump might be bad. If your opening a valve close enough to the heater and it comes on, It sounds like it's giving your pressure switch a false reading and allowing it to come one while the farther away you get, it is not enough line pressure to overcome the safety's of the heater.

When you turn hot tap on nothing happens to the boiler just cold water out of tap when heating switched on pump starts but does not ignite

I think you are working on a RV water heater.
Check the reset on the unit and turn your beakers off and on.
If you are working on a gas water heater is the pilot lit.
If you can get us a little more INFO we can help you better.

This is a stand alone portable 10,000 sharp portable AC

I had the same issue of filling up after a couple hours but mine started making some pretty loud noises as well just before shutting itself down and lighting all three lights. The top drain valve would no longer work and the only way I could drain it was through the bottom (gravity) drain valve. I took the unit apart and found that the simple water pump that is used for draining and the evaporating process had lost the thin filter screen on the bottom and the screen became lodged in the impeller of the pump preventing it from spinning. I removed the worn and broken plastic screen, carefully pushed the impeller back up on the shaft until it bottomed out, and cleaned all the built up sediment off the entire pump. After reassembling everything, the ac unit runs like new again and the noise is completely gone. Cost? $0
I imagine you can just order a new pump from sharp and save the time and effort of cleaning the pump.
Hope this helps!

We seem to have developed a problem with our boiler, worcester 20/25 heatsave. Every time we turn on a hot water tap, when we turn the tap off, there apears to be a loud noise from the boiler or pipes for...

it seams the valve that senses water flow is not operating properly, causing the boiler to keep heating the water when it has nowhere to go,i,e the taps turned off, thus boiling the water.
