Male sure you have the latest audio drivers installed and there are no errors through the Device Manager, The latest audio drivers can be found in the "support and download" section for your motherboard (http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3997#dl). If this doesn't help double check your connections and if possible use another computer to make sure the speakers you are using are working.

It sounds if it may be that you need to turn off the HDMI audio in the nVidia Control Panel. This can be accessed from either the system tray or by right clicking on the desktop. From the control panel, select "change resolution" under the "Display" heading and in the right panel select your display and you should find a drop down box under for the connecter, which will allow you to select HD audio disabled, then you can exit and save changes.

In the nvidia control panel you can overclock you're card. But there isn't much headroom on the card.

*********** board has an Integrated Intel GMA X4500 graphics, maximum shared memory of 1G, it should be automatically disabled if the pcie slot detects a video card but some mother board embedded gpu runs with the pcie card unless disabled in the bios.
Do you have plans on running a SLI (Scalable Link Interface) linking two or more gpu to produce a single output on *********** board. why SLI? because you already hae a GTS 450 GPU but you cant do this configuration because *********** board has a single pcie slot.
If you have plans on running a pci gpu with your GTS 450 it should, but if you encounter any problem try manually assigning IRQ's and resources through the BIOS? I don't have this specific board.

I suggest you make sure that you are running the latest diplay drivers for your GTS 450.
You can get them at the Nvidia download center here.

Just select the following from the drop-down boxes.
Product Type: GeForce
Product Series: GeForce 400 Series
Product: GeForce GTS 450
Operating System: Your current operating system.
Language: The language that you want the setup to be in.
Then click the search button.
Click download on the next page. Once downloaded, run the setup and it will install the driver. You will need to restart to finish the process.

Try to download drivers from nvidia website u will definitely get it...

you simply need to update your bios drivers for the board and the chipset drivers as well.

It's possible. Did you uninstall the old drivers after and disable the built in video card? You could be running with the new card on the old drivers.

You could try and go to Nvidia to download the drivers directly
