Front left speaker problem

I get no sound from the front left speaker. Do you know if this is fixable? Thanks. Jon

Thanks for that. I took the back off but couldn't find a dry solder anywhere. I tapped the amp for the front left speaker with a screwdriver and that seemed to fix it?

Had a similar problem with mine so took the cover off and found a dry solder joint at the back where the speaker connecters join into the amp. soldered it up and is working perfect.
hope this helps

I had the exact same problem, took the cover off and tapped the connection with some pliers I had to hand and it massively improved the sound to that speaker.

The Best Place to Put Your Surround Sound Speakers

If you can’t feel the vibrations everywhere—in your cheeks, ears, toes—you’re not getting the most from your surround sound system. One easy way to improve surround sound quality is to focus on speaker placement. Crutchfieldadvisor.com has a detailed tutorial, offering such tips as:
  • Place your center channel speaker directly above your TV—centered if possible. Align the front edge with the front edge of your TV screen to reduce distortion caused by sound reflecting and diffracting off the TV’s cabinet.
  • Position your front left and right speakers in front, and at equidistant points to the left and right, of your primary listening spot. Your front speakers should be at a 22°–30° angle with respect to your television.
  • The tweeters should be at ear level when you’re seated.
  • Position surround sound speakers so that they’re ear-level when you’re standing.

Front left speaker problem

The best way to confirm is to switch the speakers from the left to the right with the same cable . If your speakers sound good, then we have to check the cable. However if your speaker is sounding dull then there is no doubt that your speaker is faulty. So check this interchange. Also reduction of treble is when you cable length goes beyond a limit and also is related to bad cable quality. Tryto reduce the length and you have a solution . Hope this helps. Good day

No sound/test tone front front right channel

1-make a reset to your system.2-repeat your speaker setup.3-confirm that you assign your sysem for 5 chanell surround system.-4-change the cables between left and right front speakers if the trouble go to left channel you will have a problem in receiver itself-if the problem exict you will have a problem in speaker itself(cable or speaker)

Surround Sound Not Playing For TV Programs

Greetings jdm12,

I can understand your problem, I have some what of the same issues with my home theater setup when watching events. One of the only suggestions I can make is adjusting the "Dolby Pro Logic II Mode". After reviewing your owners manual it appears you should be able to change the mode by pressing the PL II Mode button found in the lower keypad on your remote. It appears the options you should have are Music - Cinema - Pro Logic - Matrix - Stereo. You may want to try Music or Stereo when watching your events. In Stereo setting it should provide sound out of the front speakers and sub-woofer only. In Music, there are more processing that is done so you could hear more then just the front speakers.

I hope this makes your next your next PPV Party a big hit!

Fornt speakers does not have any sound.

remove the front speakers cables from the rear-remove surround speaker cables from the rear and put them in the place of front speaker-run a music if you get good sound the problem in your front speakers(speaker or its cable)-if you got nothing you will have a problem in your system itself and need to fix in service center.
