Question about Cell Phones

I have a samsung tocca phone on orange network, the phone is always cutting off on a call even though there is a signal, i have disabled the 3g, this has made no difference, can you help

    I had the same problem on Orange phone was sent back to samsung by retailer when i took it back to shop from where i bought it

    apparently it is a software problem only had phone back 1 day hopefully the problem will be fixed

This also applies on vodafone. Carphone Warehouse sorted the problem which is caused by the phone switching between 2g and 3g. Don't know what he did though.

It's a problem specific to Orange customers on this phone - all you can do is get on the waiting list and wait for an answer from Samsung according to Orange. They are rescinding all responsibility for the problem, in the meantime we are without a phone that works! They can offer a replacement if the problem cannot be solved but they choose the handset!! What happened to our rights as consumers!! Never go with Orange again for the way they dealt with this!

May be you have not disabled 3G and internet roaming in general settings. Some times the cell service provider conveys with the 3 g symbol that the service is available with that provider even if you have disabled it in your phone.

What is 3G?

Hi there. 3G is the network your phone is on. Your carrier (like Orange, or AT&T) provides the 3G network for your phone to connect to. What 3G means is that you have a signal from your phone with an active voice and data connection. 3G is faster than the old EDGE network, but slower than the most current 4G networks. Basically, as long as you have the 3G logo on your phone (with a capital G) you have access to the internet and applications that need data to function will work. I hope that helps! Alex

I have Samsung Star 3G / GT-S5603...when i make a call it disconnects though i have full network signal...if i connect my call my caller can not hear me though i hear him..other times the call disconnects...

Hallo! However, u have a network problem. It can be software and hardware. U can check only if it is a software problem- to make the full EEP reset. First, save ALL your info from the phone- music, photo, contacts. Than, the battery must be charged at least at 30%. Then, type *2767*3855# and wait a couple of minutes. Than, check it for a couple of days. If the problem persists, you should go to a service center. Cheers!

No 3gs icon on screen, slow connection

You are most likely in an area that has little to no 3G signal, hence your phone has reverted back to the more reliable (however slow) Edge data connection. Please refer to this guide for a reference. Blue refers to 3G network while orange refers to the Edge network. sellers737.jpg

I charge my i phone over night and after a few hours the battery dies

you should try turning your wifi off, and disable 3g

if you dont know how; just go to settings, general, then network. you'll see the option to disable Wifi if its enabled, as well as 3G. If you have 3G enabled, your iphone will die within 5 hours!! You can tell if your phone is on 3G mode by looking at the top left of it next to your signal bar, and see if there is an "E", a signal strength bar (Wifi), or an E, which is just the standard At&t network that takes less juice to run.

Battery drains very fast even with little talk time. If I disable the 3G feature the battery will last for days. If I don't find a solution that allows me to use the 3G signal strength then i will be...

Your battery has most likely been drained by overcharging. This occurs when you leave your phone on the charger to long or when you take the charger out before the battery has completely finished charging. You need to purchase a new battery.

I68+ Not registering on O2 Irl Network

After further research into the phone, I have discovered that it does not support any 3G network and as vodafone and O2 in Ireland are now 3G networks, neither the I9 or the I68+ will work on these networks. They only support 2G networks(GSM). Will work with Meteor Irl but this network is in the process of changing to 3G so these chinese phones will soon be useless in the Republic of Ireland.
