When this printer estimates a cartridge is empty it will indeed stop printing and ask for a promt from you. I believe your particular printer will ask you to hold down RESUME for 5 seconds to continue printing. The resume/stop/reset button will be marked with the symbol below. Once this prompt has been given printing will continue regardless of the estimate.

After several attempts to get a Lexmark printing again, I tried using household ammonia as a soak for the printhead of the catridge. I once serviced printers of all kinds and most of the integrated cartridge/printhead types responded well to window cleaner and blotting with a lint-free paper towel but the Lexmark only got partially clean doing this.
The ammonia solution did the trick in only about a half-hour of exposure and subsequent blotting showed good ink flow.
Yeah, it stinks and it is better to cover the container you use with an inverted bowl so you don't choke.
CARTRIDGE OUT OVERRIDE
From the main menu on the printer, press "right arrow" to "System Setup", then press "Select" (green button with check mark)
Press "right arrow" to "Print Quality" and press "Select"
Press "right arrow" to "Replace Supplies" and press "Select"
Press "right arrow" to "Override Out" and press "Select"
Press "Select"
If "stop at out" is selected, the printer will stop printing when a cartridge reaches the recommended replacement point. If "Override Out" is selected, the printer will continue printing when a cartridge reaches the recommended replacement point. The factory default settig is "Stop at out".
those buttons dont stop whats in the queue. You need to go to your printer icon, right click and select the first tab on the list, from there, you will see all the files being dumped to the printer, right click file and select delete, this will erase everything in the buffer.
For the Model of the prinrer that you are using does go with photosmart essential..so you need to go to WWW.HP.COM and download the photosmart essential 3.0 and install..
so before you install it you need to uninstall photosmart premier and then install photosmart essential..
