open your email program in vista.... i'm sure you know where it is but start and it should be near the top of that menu.

Hello, i downloaded mozilla firefox as my internet browser because i was having problems with comcast opening slower. i cannot open my email . how do i get my email to work from comcast with mozilla

You need to enter the URL (internet address) for your Comcast email into your firefox browser. Open your email in internet explorer and take note of what address is listed at the top of the window. Use this in your Firefox browser.

I am using outlook express as to retrieve myemail from comcast. When I open it it shows connecting and then freezes up and finally not responding. I am not able to open any operations in express.

Before you can use it you have to setup the email account. In that you have to provide the port numbers of incoming and outgoing servers (ie, pop3 and smtp). It can not access all types of emails. if your email server is compatible then only would it retrieve and send emails. So, please check the type of email server you have. If it is not pop3 then OE may not connect to the mail server.

Am tring to set up my email on my new note book in out look express but dont seem to be able to come up with the log on page so am not able to do any thing like send an email can use email on my hotmail...

Outlook Express needs you to have an email account with your ISP, and your ISP should provide you with the setup items like Mail Servers. Once this isw done, you will have complete access to your email.

As an example, my ISP is Comcast and my mail servers are

mail.comcast.net to receive, and
smtp.comcast.net to send.

Your ISP will have their own servers, of course.

You will need to log in to these servers, using logins and passwords provided by your ISP. Outlook Express manages this as well.

Contact Comcast tech support and have them help you to bypass port 25 blocking. http://news.zdnet.com/2100-3513_22-136518.html

Outlook 2003 says email is 'sent' but never get delivered

paul, make sure on your end that the emails you send end up in your Sent box and not stuck in the Out box...if still in Out they are not sending...if that is the case comcast may be blocking SMTP port 25 (unless you upgrade to some "Pro" type of account). are you you using comcast as your email provider?
