Lgvx9400 screen turns black

It's the charger screwing with the phone. Unplug it and I bet it works fine. Find a new charger.

If you are operating on battery this is a power saving mode. Go into setting and see what the power settings are. Try running on charger and see if this still happens.

Try here. Type in your concern in the search box at the garmin site and see if they have any info on the problem. If you cant find any thing there you may have to call their support department directly. That number will also be at the garmin website.

well it seems like you need the charger port service or resoldered , the flexcable in the phone may need to be replaced.

I tooked the front screen off the TV set. I fallowed the instructions from another wrighter. The Bottom mirror was clouded with dust. I used a cleaner made for cleaning ipods and put it back together with instant success. I had not cleaned it since I got it almost four years ago. I just thought it was getting dim.

As far as the VCR playing black and white it also an easy fix. The Satalite Service man was swapping out my receiver and inadvertaly put the device on componite side of the TV. I put them back on Inpute 1 and 2 and they also work just fine. Thank you for your help.

reading other people porblems I was able to repair it on my own.

if the screen is black all the time most likely is the ribbon, but if it is just the camera, the the steps to do is the ones on the post, i've fixed a few that way i fixed one that took like 10-12 times before it started working again.
the sidekick 2 "skii" is known for the cam. to lock up on it.

Well I have ahd the same problem as you guys have (screen turns black, the whole charging issue, etc.). A short term solution for this and percautions for the future for this problem would be this:

Try this (and this worked for me): Tap gently and hard with your index and middle finger on the screen, while its off and on (experiment with it). Though this might not be garunteed to work but its a shot and it worked for me.

Also charging it wont be that bad of an idea after tapping it while off, cause the screen might come back to normal (it will show you that the battery is charging, no diming)

once when you get your screen back to normal, try jus to be carefull and get a case if possible to protect the screen. cause I think for this phone the screen is really sensitive after a while, so jus dont have your phone on you when your doing something active. get a case (best solution really).

I have exactly the same problem with my Benq FP71E+ ..

What i found is a temp fix is this :

When monitor dims and goes black i turn it off , hit the bottom left side (near the BENQ logo) turn it on again and it works ..

This works every time for me . But after a while it switches off again , could be 5 minutes could be 5 hours . Its random

the backlight or fuses are dead. Do not bypass fuses or you'll kill your system.
