Reboot and go to safe mode with networking

download malware bytes from www.malwarebytes.org

install it and update it and run it and then remove the infections after that reboot to normal mode.

that should fix it if it is a virus problem (thats what i am thinking).

if not then maybe its the mouse that needs to be replaced

cheers

This sounds like a driver issue. See if there is a driver update from Acer.

5750z touchpad not working - all else seems ok

Do you have a red light near touch pad if so press it to turn on the touch pad, If that doesn't work then click start, run, type "devmgmt.msc" When the device manager opens First I dentify any object under other devices, if it says something like unknown mouse or touchpad mouse, then go to acers support website to download the driver for your touchpad. if its not listed in device manager as an other device, look under human interface device and see if the HID compliant mouse is there. Let me know what happens

Acer one mouse problems

The easiest thing for you to do is get a usb mouse. Something happened to the wiring underneath the touch pad or the motherboard is failing.

Left click on mouse touchpad will not work

It sounds as if it has become faulty due to pressure, liquid or something else happening upon the surface which can be normal for laptops. You could replace it touchpad with a new or used one on ebay or for the time being try and go into the setting for the touchpad and reverse the left click function to right click so you can still use it.

step 1: Go to CONTROL PANEL.
step 2: under hardware and sound select MOUSE (mouse properties box)
step 3: select the DEVICE SETTINGS TAB (at top right)
step 4: select SETTINGS.
step 5: select the +box next to POINTER MOTION, then under momentum select PINCH.

step 6: DESELECT ENABLE PINCH.
step 7: press apply and ok.

How can I stop my curser from jumping around whilst typing ?

Hello
Most probably because your 'Touch Pad Mouse' is touched by your palm (hand or something) while you are typing. Avoid contact with the mouse touch pad while typing.
Option 2:
If you have a centre moveable mouse on your laptop, start using it and disable the 'Touch pad mouse'
Best of luck!

Freezes exactly where it is. Apply pressure to palm areas and it continues?

You must have a melted contact. Try to identify in the zone you apply pressure (or in the far angle of the M/B that should rise while you push the mouse pad - tension) and see if there's a "free" contact...Try it opening the cover and letting the pc work...see what the pressure modifies....it's weird though!
