I had a Canon SD870 and the camera worked fine for a few months. Then I started noticing that some of the pictures were out of focus, but only on the left-hand side. Somehow the lens assembly was defective. Canon replaced it under warranty. I have also seen websites that will replace the lens in it for $70.

- FIRST you need to put your camera in a bag
- SECOND you need to poke a hole in the bag were the lense is
- THIRD put the lense part in running water
- FOURTH the bag is to protect if it is not waterproof
- FIFTH run in water for about 5 to 10 minutes
- SIXTH then when its done let dry for 25 seconds
- SEVENTH get a soft cloth or sponge and dab the lense (blot)
- EIGHTH you want to take it out of the bag and test to see if it made it better
- LAST if it didnt work im sorry but it worked for me!
