Fan works, put in new light switch, have power though switch and wire leading to sockets but when put in bulb power is not there any more.

If you switched to a different type of bulb with the new light kit, that could be the problem. Some remotes won't work with CFL bulbs.

put your head where the passenger's feet normally are and just look up. you are looking at the bottom of the fan. buy a new fan, unplug the old one and unscrew the screws holding the fan in and lower it down. there will be a sticky gasket. put a vacuum's hose up in the hole and **** the accumulated **** out, do not be violent or forceful. screw the new fan in hook up the wiring and you are good to go.

Radiator fans not working

Check your connections on the fan. There are electrical plugs on the fans that connect to your cars electrical system. Check this, especially if you just put in a new radiator.

Fan won't shut off w/remote.

Does the remote have a dedicated button for off/on lights, and then off/on fan?

I assume it used to work,,???

First, regardless, replace the batteries in the remote, even if they are new.

This will do two things, reset the remote and double check the remote is powerful enough to send a strong signal.

Do you have the original set up manual for the fan?

If this is not a new install, and it simply quit, get out the manual and perform the original setup.

Sometimes there are "modes" setup on the fan by how long the wall power switch is on or off, say on for 30 seconds puts it in test mode, or on/off in less than 30 seconds puts it in operational mode.

Not knowing what you have, I cannot say that you need either a new fan or new remote, I need more information about the entire situation.

First put the gasket on the spacer, thin end to to out, push it down all the way on the motor shaft, then put the nylon washer on, then the fan, metal washer and then the pulley, just snug it, (don't tighten too much just beyond hand tightening). Put the casing, top and handle back on.
