Easy!! Pull back seat out,,Tap retaing ring out with dull chisel and hammer,,Unhook lines,,Lift out pump (theres gas in it so tip it so the gas pours back into he tank)
Extra tip: BEFORE putting the new pump in,hook up the terminal and turn the key on to hear the pump run for 2-3 sec AND check that the sending unit is making the fuel gauge work!
Also be sure the retaining ring is tapped all the way in ,should be some marks on it. Likley you will spill a little gas around the tank too.
To remove a rolled pin you need to use a punch tool like a small chisel with a constant diameter and a flat tip. They sell these in chisel sets at Sears and other places. Or you might be able to use a bolt of the right diameter and tap it with a hammer. Don't use a nail though, too soft, it will just jam in there. Good luck.
If it won't close the only other option you have is to break the outer collar and use a chisel to hit on the exposed jaws inside the chuck. I have detailed instructions in the tip section on how to remove a chuck from these drills. Let me know if you need more assistance.
SDS Plus is a common connection end. Several companies make them. I have not heard of a carbide tipped pointed chisel. only a carbide tipped chisel blade and bushing tool. Hilti makes very good chisels that will fit the Bosch. Hilti's number is 1800-879-8000
There is a wonderful website - www.studioarts.net - that has a great range of information about calligraphy. It includes a beginner lesson, links to supplies and hardcopy books, and a download book that you can use for free.
Just remember, learning the art of calligraphy will take much practice; unless, of course, you just need the lettering to do one or two projects. Michael's carries pen holder & point sets, but if you're just doing a couple projects, find out what you need and buy that (forget the sets). Michael's also carries felt tip markers with chiseled edges of different sizes, but you will probably get the most professional look from the actual pen points. (Points are what the tips you write with are called, and they come in a wide variety of sizes and styles.)
These were still early times for the then new...HEI ignition...The factory was using a 60 mm gap...most mechanics used a 45 mm gap, as the 60 mm was proving to wide for peak performance...I highly recommend the 45 mm gap on your spark plug gapping tool...be sure the electrode is still perfectly straight with the tip when measuring...:)
Chances are that the screw and maybe the hole in the iron barrel have been 'cross threaded'. Remove the screw and the tip, then examine the screw and hole threads for thread damage. If they are, the screw should be replaced, but the hole in the barrel will need to be cleaned with the proper size tap. You can find the tap and the screw at a home center, or hardware store , plus get some suggestions on how to fix your problem. Hope this helps!
Just loosen the screw in the barrel near the tip, then rotate while pulling the tip out. It shouldn't be necessary to remove the tip unless it requires replacement. Hope this helps!
