I am using Vista Windows Mail Version 6.0.6000.16386 (Vista_rtm.061101.-2205). It worked fine for three months, but now I cannot send any emails. They just sit in the outbox. I get no error messages, nothing happens. Everything else works fine. I receive emails, can read them, delete them (except for one in my outbox), move them, access web sites through their web links, and compose replies and forwards, but nothing ever goes. I use Comcast Email and have gone over all of the settings with them multiple times, but the problem persists. I can only send emails by going to Comcast.net email on the web (mail.comcast.net).

Features available through Yahoo! Mail include unlimited storage, the ability to view photos and videos from your inbox and the ability to send 50 files or 100MB worth of attachments in a single email.
You can also access Yahoo!'s instant messaging software from your inbox and check email on your mobile phone and other Internet-enabled devices.
Before signing up for Yahoo! mail, check its compatibility with your version of Internet Explorer.Standard Yahoo! Mail
Yahoo! Mail's standard interface works with Internet Explorer 7 and higher.
However, Internet Explorer 7 users may be unable to use the reply bar, slideshows or Yahoo! Messenger from their inbox.
To access these features, use at least Internet Explorer 9. All Internet Explorer users must have Windows 7, XP or Vista to use the standard form of Yahoo! mail. Mac operating systems using Internet Explorer are not supported by the current version of Yahoo! Mail. Older Option
Users who want to use Yahoo! Mail Classic will find it compatible with Internet Explorer 6, as well as newer versions of the browser.
Yahoo! announced to customers in July 2011 that it would soon stop supporting Internet Explorer 6. Yahoo! Mail Classic works with Windows 2000, XP and Vista, as well as Windows 7.
Yahoo! Mail Classic lacks many of the upgrades found in the current version of the email program.
While Yahoo! Mail supports older versions of Internet Explorer, the company recommends that users upgrade to the most current version.
Yahoo! says using the newest browser software provides more speed and added protection against viruses and software. Enabling ActiveX
If you plan to use the current version of Yahoo! Mail on a Windows machine, you'll want to enable your computer's ActiveX controls so you can access all the features of the email program.
To do this, go to the "Tools" menu or the gear symbol in Internet Explorer, then select "Internet Options" and "Security."
Click on "Internet," then "Custom Level."
Scroll down to "Run ActiveX Controls and Plugins" and "Script ActiveX Controls Marked Safe for Scripting." Enable each of these options and save your settings.
The short answer is yes, Family Tree Maker 2010 is fully compatible with Windows 7.
The Family Tree Maker team has been working with Windows 7 for
several months-even prior to the release of Family Tree Maker 2010.
Since the "Release to Manufacture" (RTM) version of Windows 7 was
released last August, we have done additional testing in our labs as
well as with alpha and beta customers with no indication of
incompatibility. Family Tree Maker 2008 and 2009 are also compatible
with Windows 7.
As a point of interest, it may be helpful for people to know that we
continually test Family Tree Maker with 32-bit and 64-bit versions of
Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7.
If you find a problem while running Family Tree Maker on your operating system, the best course of action is to contact customer support which can usually help you identify and solve the problem.

If you use Yahoo! Mail for all your email needs, some of the amenities of Windows seem to elude you. A click on an email link in your browser brings up Outlook Express or another desktop email program, not a new message in Yahoo! Mail. Trying to send a file directly from Word, OpenOffice.org or another office application yields the same, unsatisfactory result.
Fortunately, the state of dissatisfaction need not be permanent. It will be overcome by making Yahoo! Mail act as your default email program in Windows, which, if you use Windows 95 or later is an easy thing to do. Make Yahoo! Mail Your Default Windows Email Program
To set up Yahoo! Mail as your default email client in Windows:
* Download and install Yahoo! Messenger. * Select Tools | Internet Options... from the menu in Internet Explorer. * Go to the Programs tab. * Make sure Yahoo! Mail is selected under E-mail. * Click OK.
Yahoo! as Default Email: Does Not Work under Windows Vista
Unfortunately, Yahoo! Mail as your default email program may be hard-wired to use Internet Explorer instead of your default browser, and it does not work in Windows Vista. Make Yahoo! Mail the Default Email Composer in Mozilla Firefox
In Mozilla Firefox, you can turn to the Mailto 2 Webmail script for Greasemonkey to have Yahoo! Mail handle email links (even under Windows Vista).
