My guess if it's new is that it doesn't have a floppy drive but thinks it should.

Enter BIOS setup by hitting F1, F2, Del or similar at startup (there should be a message saying Press <some button> to enter setup).

Then it will depend on your BIOS (they're all different) but you either want to tell it there isn't a floppy drive or tell it not to check for one, or tell it not to display errors if it doesn't find one.

Unfortunately all BIOS's are different so I can't tell exactly what setting you're looking for.

Also, don't forget to Save & Exit when you're done or your changes will have no effect.

Does the PC have a floppy drive? If it doesn't It appears that your BIOS (Basic PC setup) thinks that there is one! I think that pressing f2 on boot will bring you into the BIOS setup.
In there, see can you locate any reference to 3.5 inch floppy and amend it to the setting which suits the config of your PC.

Please take care as to what other settings you change in the BIOS

If you find this sugestion helps please take time to rate it

I think you should press F2 to go to the setup page.

There, you should change the order of your boot device.

set the first boot device to hard disk

set the second boot device to cd rom

and the third to floppy.

follow the instructions and click save and continue

Turn on my computer Inspiron 530S starts to boot up gives the dell booting page then goes to 0 Diskette error choose F1 to continue and F2 to start setup. I have tried F2 and change it to no floppy disk...

Sounds like someone may have left a non-bootable floppy disk in the drive. Check to be sure there isn't a floppy in the drive. Also, when in setup, it's the boot order that you'll want to change.

Computer with diskette drive 0 seek failure on dell inspiron 530 how do i fix that

That is a POST (Power On Self Test) error and happens before the operating system loads, in other words it isn't a Windows error but a hardware error.
Does the pc boot successfully after the error? Does the diskette drive work properly, can you read and copy files to it? In all likelihood the diskette drive might be "kaput". If you have a hardware diagnostic utility for the pc run it and see what it reports.
If the drive is bad just replace it with a new one, they're inexpensive
and easy to replace.

If you are given the option to go into the setup (F2) try to disable the floppy disk drive or move the hard drive up in the boot order.
