The paper pick up roller is dirty that's why it's not picking up the paper, get a small bottle of rubber renew and some Q tips dip the Q tip and turn it sideways and rub it on the pick up roller to clean put a bit of pressure and make sure you get the whole pick up roller you will see it get lighter in color when it's clean, be very carefull not to get the rubber renew on the printer it will eat the plastic.

Hope that helps.........

if the gears are faulty you have to replace it.but cleaning will definately work.after cleaning apply the greece material on the gears to make it run fluently.thats it.done.please do rate the solution.

Canon ip1800 will not feed paper...One side jams and when I take the paper out, the jammed corner of the paper is folded under.

canon has a friction feed system,

clear the paper path and check if there are any small paper peace,

clean the pickup roller by a waterized cloth,

proper set the paper guide and try print again.

PAPER FEEDS CROOKED, JAMS, WRINKLES LEFT SIDE

Hi
Normally something get stucked between the write roller and the small presure rollers.
You can released it by inserting a paper in the opposite direction as the feeding direction.between the rollers, and the turn the machine upside down for the obstacal to fall out. This help me 80 precent of the time.Otherwise you have to stip the machine to repair.
Good luck

Canon pixma mp150 saying paper jam but cant see one

1. Turn the printer off and open the access cover.
2. Look for any obstructions in the paper path and remove them if necessary. (It is possible to move the carrier assembly with the power off.)
3. Turn the printer on, load some paper, and press the Form Feed button.
4. Watch the paper as it feeds through and try to determine where the jam is occurring.
5. Check to see if all the rollers are turning.

If all the rollers are turning, there may be something in the feed path that you can't see. Go to step 6.
If not, there is probably a feed motor or a gear problem and the printer may require service.
6. If the paper is jamming under the carrier assembly, you may be able to fix it using the manual feed slot.
7. Turn the printer off.
8. Take a #10 envelope and feed it through the left side of the manual feed slot until it comes right through the printer to the back of the exit rollers.
9. Move it up and down first, and then slowly move it over to the right side. If something is stuck under the black guide plate, this may work it loose.

your paper feeder has lost some parts..open up your printer then look for the round paper feeder that has a rubber on it.you will find out that there is a small plastic that has been broken.get a screw or any kind of metal to replace it.

Paper not feeding right

Hey. I too am having that problem with my ip1800 canon printer. It makes a weird "clicking" sound whenever I turn it on, and then when I try to feed it paper, the sheets either get stuck and become crooked and cumpled. OR, when it does sound like its printing, it doesn't print on the page--maybe the tip of the page, but not the whole page.
