We have a 10 000 BTU Kenmore air conditioner in our apartment building. It has always worked fine but today we found when we turned it on and all day it is barely blowing any air no matter what temperature and speed, the room is still hot . Any idea what could cause this? Our air conditioner faces out onto a neighbour's balcony so we can't take a look at the other side. Is it possible something blocking it could cause this? or what would be the common cause of little to no air coming out? Thanks , Erin

Thaks for getting back to me with your problem. remove the filter and check the coil and see that its clean. If not you can vacume it off. If it is then you will have to either remove the unit and take a look at the outside coils and check them , though i doubt there is any problem . If the coils are clean and the fins are not bent and the fan is working properly ( all of which will require you to plug it in -inside the apartment) I would bet your unit is about to give up the ghost or has leaked freon some how. You can tell if you have leak by looking for oil any where on the unit . it won't just be a spot but quite a bit of oil. either way I think this will be more then we can solve here online as you will need equipment to check it futher . let me know though what you find if you pull the unit out to look at theoutside coils.
