Re: I have a 83 supra, can see where to read odbc codes...
- There are two place this could be.
- The first place will be a little cord barely dangling from the distributor. There will be nothing else plugged into it. It only has to connector points in it. Take a paper clip and jump one side to the other and put the ignition to the on position.
- Some Supras have a box that you test from. You will look for the fuse box under the hood and right next to it is another box that says "diagnostic" on it. Find T or TE1 and jump with a paperclip to E1. The underside of the lid to that box will show you which pin is which. Turn your ignition to the on position.
- When the check engine light comes on should it blink nice and steady there are no codes. Other wise it will blink codes in set of 2 digits.
- 1983 Supras were the first ones to have a check engine light on the vehicle. So if this is a real early 1983 Supra it may not have a CEL option on it.
- Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa.
