In the device manager on the other devices list it has yellow question marks on the multimedia audio controller and network controller, pci simple communication controller, universial serial bus (usb)...

IF you can connect to the internet, you'll need to go to the Averatec support site and look up the driver downloads page for your laptop model and operating system. The link below should take you to a page (not Averatec's) that also has the drivers you need.

Download and install the Chipset drivers, as well as the drivers listed for Audio, Video, USB, and Network. It would be a good ideal to download ALL drivers listed for your laptop model and operating system and burn them to a CD for possible future use. Once those drivers are installed, you all of the yellow question marks should go away and your system should start working just fine.

My thinkpad doesnt works!

If you can, upgrade to WinXP (or LINUX) which will make things easier, or else use the re-install disk for your laptop. If you really want Win2000 to work and have lost your original disks, you need to download the appropriate drivers for that machine and install them under Win2000. It is the only way to get things up and running again. Make sure in device manager there are no yellow marks showing error state devices.

Don't use a driver management or automated program to install the drivers; download them one by one from the IBM web site and install and reboot cycle each one separately.

Good luck...
